These owl puzzles are quite special as they are one of the first jigsaw puzzles I had ever cut back in 2020.
It was before I had a heat press so I used a spray adhesive and a roller to adhere the image onto the wood, and there is no top laminate. I used a very smooth Baltic birch plywood, still 1/4” thick.
You will also notice the grid style cutting technique. While this was still free hand, I did have a ruler as a guide. I have now switched to the more flowy design which I prefer, to allow for more creativity which you will see in any of our later puzzles.
Every one of our puzzles are handcrafted on a scroll saw - no templates or lasers are used.
