Focus stacking is a photography technique that improves image depth by combining several photos taken at different focal points. We apply this method to highlight every detail of our puzzles, providing a stunning visual experience. By blending these images, we achieve sharpness throughout the picture, allowing puzzle lovers to enjoy the beauty in every piece.
My grandfather has taken over their small, off the grid, remote log cabin with flowers, bugs, lights, cameras, computer, and printer to support me in this puzzle making journey. Can you picture it? :)
In this latest puzzle, he takes each individual flower and butterfly and carefully photographs them one by one at different focal points. He can then stack the images together to get a much sharper, detailed and beautiful image.
Once he mastered the individual focus stacking images and needed another challenge in his retirement, he took this to the next level by bringing each flower together to create one stunning montage.
This is the first of many in using these techniques - be on the lookout for more flowers, bugs, birds, shells and more soon!
